Mr and Mrs Harries Llandeilo
They have a lot of horses and ponies including coloureds. The visit will take all day and a buffet lunch will be provided. In the morning we will see the sec C, D, and coloureds and after lunch we will see the mountain ponies. A mini bus will be available if enough people are interested in going. Please let the secretary know by JUNE 2ND AT THE LATEST as numbers are needed for catering.

CWMDU WILL BE OUR QUALIFIER FOR THE NATIONAL WELSH CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW.
WELSH PART-BRED WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE SAME CLASS AS 'OTHER THAN WELSH' AT THE PROGENY SHOW AGAIN THIS YEAR.
LLANAFAN WILL HAVE SEPARATE CLASSES FOR C'S THIS YEAR.
RIDDEN POINTS CAN BE CLAIMED FROM A MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND CLASS OR SEC A,B,C,OR D CLASS. NO POINTS WILL BE AWARDED FROM THE TREKKING CLASS.
POINTS CARDS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE SECRETARY FOR £1.00

SENNYBRIDGE HAS BEEN NOMINATED FOR THE IN HAND SIRE RATINGS AND BRECON SHOW HAS BEEN NOMINATED FOR THE PERFORMANCE SIRE RATINGS.
THE WELSH PONY AND COB SOCIETY ARE HOLDING A YOUNG JUDGES COMPETITION AT THE SHROPSHIRE AND WEST MIDLAND SHOWGROUND, SHREWSBURY ON SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST 2009.
AGE GROUPS ARE 10-12 YEARS, 13-18 YEARS, 19-25 YEARS. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO MAY BE INTERESTED IN COMPETING AND REPRESENTING OUR ASSOCIATION PLEASE LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO THAT WE CAN HAVE TRAINING SESSIONS. ENTRIES HAVE TO BE IN BY MONDAY JULY 6TH 2009. COMPETITORS WILL BE JUDGING SEC A'S THIS YEAR.
Autumn Stud Visit to Mr & Mrs John James & Family of the Sainwood Stud
Lovely enjoyable afternoon which was dry and sunny.
Seen some lovely ponies of all sections, own bred and some liveries.
Tea was also put on for us.

NEWS JUNE 2008
Unfortunately there will be no stud visit this year instead we plan to visit the Aberaeron Festival of Welsh Ponies and Cobs on SUNDAY 10th August. Any one interested in going please let the secretary know as a coach will be needed.
The Points shows for 2008 season will be Cwmdu 19th July, Hay-on- Wye 26th July, Brecon 2nd August, Llanigon or Lower Chapel 9th August , Llyswen 16th August, Llanvihangel Tayllyn 17th August, Felinfach 25th August, Erwood 30th August, Hundred House or Sennybridge 6th September, Brecon and Borders progeny 7th September, Kington or Beulah 13th September, Llanafan 21st September.
(Cwmdu will be our qualifier for the National Welsh Championship show again this year. Welsh part breds will be included in the same class as other than welsh at the progeny show this year.)
There will be points awarded to young handlers again this year. The shows are Cwmdu, Hay-on-Wye, Llanigon, Llyswen, Brecon and Borders Progeny, Llanafan, Erwood and Felinfach.
Ridden points can either be claimed from a mountain and moorland class A,B,C, or D class No points can be awarded from a trekking class.

It is hoped that there will be a Brecon and Borders calendar again this year.
